We meet American, Matt Britton. Matt is the Chairman of 40 Days for Life in the US. He halped launch the latest 40 Days for Life Vigil outside Christchurch Hospital. He has interesting things to say about the issue of abortion in America following the election of President Trump.
We enter a forty day spiritual retreat with our Lord, known as Lent. We consider the invitation of Jesus to take up our cross and follow Him. We spend time at a music retreat with 16 blind adults who have taken up this invitation. "Sounds Catholic" presenter Ken Joblin and others spend a day reading braille music and singing the fruits of their labours. They share the gift of braille music.

We interview Diocesan Archivist, Fr Kevin Clark. He speaks about his early life, his recollections of the fourth bishop of Christchurch, Bishop Joyce and muses on the two sides of humanity. We also feature sacred music recently recorded by the Kolbe Singers in St Teresa's, Riccarton.

We reflect on the great opening of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament on 12 February 1905. Last Sunday, (12 February) Fr Rick Loughnan and the congregation of St Mary's Pro-Cathedral marked the dedication of our Cathedral with a festive Mass. This "Sounds Catholic" features musical highlights of that Mass and tells the story of week of celebrations around the opening of our cathedral.
We speak with Kaiapoi parishioner Pat Boyle about his faith and works. Pat works with volunteers and his life has been gifted by his disability.
