Other considerations for students:

• Accommodation is the student’s responsibility.
• Transport – students responsibility

Currently there are two approved institutions for the scholarship; Good Shepherd College and Catholic Discipleship College.

A. Good Shepherd College

The Bishop of Christchurch pays funds to Good Shepherd College for operational funding. As part of this allocation of fees the Diocese is able to provide a scholarship (less the administration fee charged by Sydney).

This scholarship provides a majority of course fees.  In 2016 the fee per course is $680.  Of this $680, a fee is charged by the Sydney College of Divinity.  These fees are as follows:

o $280 for 1 paper
o $540 for 2 papers
o $800 for 3 papers
o $1060 for 4 papers

This portion is  payable by the student to the diocese and is not part of the scholarship.

In the case of Good Shepherd College, a student will have an aptitude to study theology at a tertiary level.
